SOLAR POWERED SHELTERS BUILT IN PARAMATTA
10 October 2008

Adshel has partnered with Paramatta City Council to install 2 solar-powered shelters for a new shuttle bus route The Loop in the Parramatta CBD.

The shelters are manufactured from aluminium to ensure long life of the structure and are recyclable; they are also built with toughened glass to maximise safety. Solar-powered courtesy lighting and real-time information screens are unique features of this project and establish Paramatta City Council and Adshel’s leading positions on sustainable street furniture.

Adshel complemented the shelters with seats from its Town and Park range, also supplying 9 additional seats for the shuttle bus route.

Adshel is committed to minimizing its environmental impact. It supplies infrastructure that is recyclable at the end of its useful life, adapts to changing technologies and client needs, and encourages the use of public transport.
